Big Bertha
Al and Ed are now working near Saddle Rock. After taking a pair of
'before' photos, Al will collect the rock just to the left of center.
It is sample 14321, a 9.0 kilogram breccia now known as Big
Bertha. It is the biggest of the Apollo 14 rocks. Al does not
take an 'after' of this sample location. For reference, the
center-to-center spacing of the MET tire tracks is about 0.7 meters (28
inches). |
