"Slight Overlap"
This anaglyph covers the overlap region beween two successive frames in
a 12-frame panorama taken by Neil Armstrong. Although the
Hasselblad field-of-view was about 60 degrees, judging overlap without
a viewfinder wasn't easy. Later crews took more frames per
panorama and almost always had signficant overlap between adjacent
frames. Here, the overlap is about 15-20 degrees in
azimuth.
Vertical relief appears to be exaggerated, particularly in the case of
the apparently steep inner slopes of the small craters in the middle
distance
on the
right. The
split rock in the foreground was probably ejected by an impact large
enough to reach bedrock and, then, probably split when it landed.
