Ulli writes, "This sketch is based on an Apollo 15 scene that took place
at 165:32:00 GET (EVA 3, at Hadley Rille). "Unintentionally, Dave Scott caught his left foot on a rock and fell onto his hands and knees throwing the 500mm Hasselblad in the lunar soil (another nightmare for a Hasselblad and Zeiss fan). "I drew the scene in a more 'camera protective manner' - especially for people who like American football." Ulli notes that Alan Bean's painting Telephoto Opportunity shows Dave Scott with the camera just a couple of minutes before he tripped. |
