The aerospace industry faces ever more challenging task of achieving greater safety performance and reliability in the adaptation of new materials and designs. As lead supporters of NDE standards development through the Office of Safety and Mission Assurance Nondestructive Evaluation (OSMA NDE) Program, our materials testing group work closely with our on-site subject matter experts in oxygen systems, propellants and aerospace fluids, composite pressure systems, and materials flight acceptance testing to assist in producing and reviewing a variety of standards including
- NASA technical standards program,
- Military specifications,
- ASTM International,
- American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA),
- International Organization for Standardization (ISO),
- CSA Group, and
- National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA).
