Abstract
Join us for this month’s Community of Practice webinar to learn more about the launch of the Space Tech Catalyst Prize. The NASA Space Tech Catalyst Prize will engage and celebrate individuals and organizations who amplify the capabilities of underrepresented space technology innovators and researchers. Numerous awards of $25,000 will be made, and awardees will be invited to an in-person convening event in Washington, D.C. at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Hear more about the challenge from its creators: Denna Lambert, inclusive innovation team lead for ESIP (Early Stage Innovations and Partnerships Portfolio), and Lynn Van Deventer, open innovation advisor with the agency’s CoECI (Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation).

Speaker Bios
Denna Lambert is the inclusive innovation team lead with the agency’s CoECI (Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation). She manages efforts for reaching, attracting, and developing underrepresented and underutilized communities in the space technology ecosystem. After first joining NASA as a contract specialist for the procurement office at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Denna’s passion for creating inclusive environments has taken her from managing Goddard’s minority student programs to designing a federally recognized program model for people with disabilities in the federal sector, and leading a design team that transformed the center’s Information & Collaboration Center, which was awarded Federal Large Library of the Year in 2016.
Lynn Van Deventer is a principal specialist of project management with KBR, serving with CoECI (Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation) as an open innovation advisor where she is responsible for challenge formulation, proposal evaluation integration, and challenge execution. Lynn’s experience includes leading large-scale software development projects, managing the implementation of the strategic plan at Seattle Public Schools, and designing, developing, and managing global open innovation efforts for private-sector companies, major foundations, and governments. Most recently, she led a team of program officers, working with clients to solve some of the world’s most complex technical and social challenges. Lynn received a BA in English from the University of Iowa.
