In this episode, watch NASA astronauts Megan McArthur, Shane Kimbrough, Mark Vande Hei, and JAXA astronaut Aki Hoshide as they discuss the effects of the weightless-simulated environment on perception of motion, spatial orientation, and balance aboard the International Space Station. Learn more about how your vestibular system helps to provide you with information necessary to navigate your environment whether you’re an astronaut in space, or you have your feet planted firmly on Earth. This lesson was created in collaboration with Space Center Houston.
