Converting from one set of units to another is something that scientists do every day. Metric units are used wherever possible, and some standard units of measurement have been redefined so that they are compatible with the new metric units. In this activity, students use dimensional analysis to convert obscure English units to metric units and vice versa. A one-page teacher guide accompanies the one-page assignment.
