Host an Hour of Code with Tynker’s space-themed coding activities created in collaboration with NASA STEM Engagement. Get creative by solving exciting coding challenges, designing a lunar habitat and programming a Moon rover.

Users can learn about the history of mission patches, and then use their own artwork to create custom mission patches. Or, they can tell animated stories about their lives as Artemis astronauts aboard Gateway. Design a lunar habitat and write programs to control autonomous vehicles on the Moon.

Step-by-step instructions and sample code allow users of any experience level to participate. Beginners may use Tynker Blocks, and more experienced coders may use JavaScript to complete the examples. Standards-aligned lesson guides and additional NASA resources are included for teachers. Hour of Code activities from Tynker are free.
