NASA has awarded a contract to Yulista Solutions LLC of Huntsville, Alabama, to provide support for aircraft used across several NASA centers and programs.
The CompreHensive Aircraft Readiness, Lifecycle, Engineering, and Support (CHARLES) contract is a cost-plus, fixed-fee, and award fee contract with indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity ordering ability. The contract’s performance period runs from March 1, 2023, through Sept. 30, 2030, with a maximum potential value of $540 million.
The purpose of CHARLES is to provide support for aircraft based at: Ellington Field at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston; El Paso, Texas; Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia; Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland; Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia; and other remote sites where services are required. The statement of work includes aircraft maintenance, flight operations, engineering, lifecycle, quality, safety, and other related support for a variety of airframes, engines, appliances, and support equipment at the various locations.
