Voleak Roeum works at NASA Headquarters, for the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD). She is currently serving as the Resource Management Office Director, responsible for the overall management of the mission directorate’s approximately $900 millions to $1 billion annual budget. Prior to joining Space Technology, she worked as a Program Analyst for several highly complex flights as well as technology and research programs which have included the Deep Space Network, Cassini, Mars Exploration Rovers, Spitzer, Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL), Juno, the Mars Science Laboratory (Curiosity), and other science high profile flight missions. She also served as the Program Executive (PE) for both the Ionospheric Connection Explorer mission (ICON) and Global-scale Observations of the Limb and Disk (GOLD) missions. She received numerous awards for her contributions toward the success of NASA high priority missions. Roeum’s budget and analytical experiences range from life-cycle-cost and portfolio analyses, funds management and control, to budgeting and planning strategy. Her extensive background has also allowed her to serve as a strategy and policy advisor to the Science Mission Directorate and STMD senior management teams.
