Marshleen Yadav
Cancer Discipline Lead, Space Radiation Element
Marshleen Yadav serves as the cancer discipline lead for the Space Radiation Element (SRE), advancing scientific knowledge to predict and reduce the risk of space radiation-induced cancer.
Yadav has more than seven years of experience in radiation research, characterizing biological responses to radiation exposure and evaluating pharmacological molecules to protect against it. Before joining SRE in 2024, Yadav worked as a senior scientific researcher in the cancer immunology department at Genentech, a biotech company and member of the Roche Group, based in San Francisco, California. There, she led preclinical studies in personalized vaccine development for cancer.
Yadav earned her doctorate in Biochemistry from Banaras Hindu University, in Varanasi, India, with a focus on human tropical parasitic diseases. She completed postdoctoral research at Institut Gustave Roussy in Villejuif, France, and at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
