Janice Robertson
Chief Financial Officer, Kennedy Space Center
Janice J. Robertson is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC), FL. She is responsible for assisting the CFO manage the full range of specialized technical and professional Enterprise OCFO services necessary to provide comprehensive financial and resources advice to the OCFO Enterprise Leadership, KSC Center Director and other senior Center management in strategy development, planning, and policy making.
Previously, Ms. Robertson was the Deputy CFO, supporting the CFO in all financial and resources matters for the OCFO Enterprise as well as the Center. She also served as the KSC Deputy CFO for Resources within the Office of the CFO, responsible for the development, analysis, and integration of budget formulation as well as budget execution and funds distribution. Additionally, she was the Chief of the Spaceport Management Office in the Office of the Center Director providing comprehensive Program, Planning and Control (PP&C) to the Center for the KSC Center Management and Operations (CMO Program). She has also served in numerous other lead and managerial positions under the Office of the CFO including Lead, Institutional Resources Office, Chief, Central Budget Office, and Chief Institutional Resources Office. Professional highlights include member of the Outsourcing Desktop Initiative for NASA (ODIN) Agency SEB and Office of Space Flight Task Order teams, Member of the Agency team and Center lead for the implementation of the Agency Full-Cost Initiative 2004 and Full-Cost Simplification 2007; Center lead for KSC Technical Capabilities Assessment Team (TCAT) integration, KSC Baseline Service Assessment (BSA) integration, and Mission Support Architecture Program (MAP), and most recently as serving as the deputy of the OCFO Resources Management Process Champion Team (RMPC).
Ms. Robertson entered the federal service in 1988 as a Presidential Management Intern (PMI). She completed the PMI two-year development program and served in various program analyst positions supporting Institutional resources and contracts as well as International Space Station Operations under the CFO prior to her initial selection as a supervisor in 2000. Ms. Robertson has received numerous awards and honors including the NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 1999, the NASA CFO Special Services Award in 1997, a NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal in 2007 and the NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal in 2020.
Ms. Robertson was born in Tampa, FL and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Augustine, FL in 1982. She has a B.A. with dual majors in Political Science and Public Management from Jacksonville University and completed a master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Florida State University. Ms. Robertson is married with two grown children.
