Professional Biography
Gilbert Wu’s research interests include utilization of AI/ML to the improvement of aviation operations, aircraft conflict detection and resolution, arrival aircraft management, and trajectory optimization. He takes great pleasure in applying novel concepts and algorithms to air traffic management problems. Once a professional software developer, he continues to advocate for better tools/processes for software development and deployment. He has one patent and has authored or coauthored more than thirty journal articles, conference papers, and technical reports. He has served as a tech lead, acting sub-project manager, associate project manager for various research projects. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from UCLA.
