Eddie Adcock
Acting Lead, Small Business Innovation Research, NASA Langley Research Center
Eddie Adcock began his NASA career in 1987 as an electronics technician co-op, gaining foundational hands-on experience before graduating from the Langley Research Center Apprentice School in 1992. Over the next several years, he supported a variety of wind tunnel tests and flight projects, while also serving as Langley’s flow measurements consultant within the Instrument Research Division. Committed to advancing his technical expertise, Eddie went on to earn a B.S. in applied physics from Christopher Newport University through the ERI program.
With a strong foundation in measurement sciences, Eddie expanded his research into micro/nano sensor development, managed SBIR projects, served as an STTR subtopic manager, and participated on a Source Evaluation Board. He later joined the Autonomy Incubator team, serving as a principal investigator on UAS flight projects. In recent years, he has shifted into strategic oversight and contract management, serving as a contracting officer’s representative on large prime contracts.
Throughout his career at Langley, Eddie has built a broad technical background. His expertise spans UAS operations, aerodynamic sensors, MEMS design and fabrication, signal conditioning electronics, wireless telemetry, energy harvesting techniques, and wind tunnel testing, allowing him to effectively bridge the gap between complex research and programmatic execution.
