Professional Biography

Apsara Mitra joined NASA Ames Research Center in 2023, as an Aerospace Engineer in the Flight Trajectory Dynamics & Controls Branch. She supports the Digital Information Platform and is also helping develop the Lunar Operations Coordination concept. Apsara has previously worked on optimizing operations for commercial airlines and systems integration/testing for an aerospace/defense contractor. She also works to increase civic engagement around policy, technology development, and sustainability.

Apsara holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University (’22) and is currently completing her Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania (’25).
