Andrew Beitman
Deputy Element Manager, Human Factors and Behavioral Performance
Andrew Beitman leads integration and collaboration efforts for the Human Factors and Behavioral Performance (HFBP) element. He supports planning, budgeting, and executing HFBP projects to mitigate spaceflight risks.
Beitman began his career at NASA monitoring astronaut radiation exposure at the molecular level. He then supported multiple radiation and immunology projects, including collaborations focused on providing high-resolution imaging of cells and tissues.
He later served as a portfolio integrator for the HFBP team before transitioning to his current role.
Beitman received his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station and his executive master’s degree in Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University in Texas.
