David E. Steinfeld – NESC Academy Biography
David Steinfeld has over 30 years of experience with the Thermal Engineering Branch at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (Greenbelt, MD), as well as Lockheed Martin-Vought (Grand Prairie, TX)
David has a Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Tech, and an Aerospace Engineering Masters Degree from the University of Texas, Arlington.
Current and recent projects include Triana, HST Servicing Missions 3, 4A and 4B, GLAS, SDO, ELC, STEREO, Space Station Heat Rejection System (HRS), Space Shuttle Leading Edge Thermal Protection System (Carbon-Carbon), LRR, MEIDEX, James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), LCRD, MOMA. David’s experience includes not just satellites, but also launch vehicles, boosters, the Space Shuttle, Space Station, and the Supersonic Space Transporter.
