Dr. Davin K. Swanson – NESC Academy Biography

Davin K. Swanson is Director of the Control Analysis Department at The Aerospace Corporation. This department supports Aerospace’s mission assurance role through providing technical analyses in the areas of spacecraft attitude determination and control, payload pointing, fault management, and contingency operations. Dr. Swanson earned Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, MS, and PhD degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has worked at Aerospace since 2003. His main areas of technical interest are spacecraft attitude determination, gimbaled payload line-of-sight determination and control, and payload jitter assessment.
