NASA Glenn made strides when it came to supporting and empowering its LGBTQ+ community.

Testing Air Taxi Noise

NASA gathered noise levels of Moog’s experimental aircraft to help the Advanced Air Mobility industry keep future air taxis and drones quiet.

3D-Printed Rocket Launch

This was the first launch of a test rocket made entirely from 3D-printed parts, measuring 100 feet tall and 7.5 feet wide. 

A solar electric propulsion thruster emits the blue hue of Xenon gas during testing. Vibrant blue light emanates in a circular shape from the dark grey thruster, which is mounted inside a vacuum chamber. The blue light then narrows into a plume as it moves farther away from the thruster, illuminating the otherwise darkened chamber.

Powering Artemis

The powerful 12-kilowatt Advanced Electric Propulsion System was tested in a vacuum chamber at NASA Glenn and will be critical to future missions at the Moon and beyond.
