Help Build the Moon Base
The Moon Base represents one of the most ambitious engineering and exploration efforts in human history — and it cannot be achieved alone. NASA is partnering with commercial industry, academia, and innovators around the world to develop the technologies, infrastructure, and capabilities needed to establish an enduring human presence on the Moon. The future of lunar exploration will be built through collaboration, and NASA invites the global community to help shape what comes next.
Moon Base Demonstrations
To accelerate phased implementation of Moon Base, NASA seeks to bridge the gap between technology development and mission operations. NASA’s Human Spaceflight Mission Directorate is actively embracing innovative ideas from industry partners through Appendix B: Moon Base Demonstrations under the NextSTEP-3 Omnibus Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) that calls for industry-led demonstrations and special topic activities. This solicitation seeks industry proposals for concept demonstrations, risk reduction opportunities, and studies that address Moon Base architecture gaps. Awards will focus on the integration, demonstration, and maturation of concepts beyond component technology development.
