Personal Property Management focuses upon the day to day procedures and practices by which personal property assets are acquired, allocated, and managed by the NASA Centers. This includes the following functional management focus areas:

- Supply and Materials Management
- Disposition Management
Contract Property Management focuses upon the day to day procedures and practices by which personal property assets are acquired, allocated, and managed by NASA Center Contractors.
Supply Management focuses on policies and procedures that enable the management, acquisition, accountability, utilization and safeguard of NASA personal property.
Mail Management focuses upon the efficient, effective, and economical management of internal, incoming, and outgoing mail that supports NASA’s official mail requirements.
Transportation and Fleet Management focuses upon the management of both Agency owned and GSA leased vehicles, shipments, household goods moves, fuel usage, fleet card use and the transit subsidy program.
Life Cycle Logistics Support and Supply Chain Management focuses upon the procedures and practices to implement life cycle support to ensure NASA’s flight hardware systems and associated ground systems to provide required operational availability at minimum life cycle cost.
Library Program Management focuses upon management of library processes, practices and procedures by NASA libraries and the library consortia. Included is the consolidation of NASA-wide subscription procurements.
Property Disposal Management provides oversight and policy guidance for NASA’s property once it is considered excess or surplus to the Agency’s requirements. The Equipment Management analyzes, develops and maintains NASA-wide policies and program analyzes, develops and maintains NASA-wide policies and procedures for theprodis.html proper disposition of surplus and excess personal property.
Equipment Management analyzes, develops and maintains NASA-wide policies and procedures for the proper acquisition, accountability, utilization and safeguard of NASA-held personal property until the equipment reaches the end of its intended purpose, its useful life or serviceability, and is properly retired from the NASA’s inventory.
