The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia, is commemorating NASA Langley Research Center’s 100th birthday with a photography exhibit called “Picturing Innovation: The First 100 Years of NASA Langley.”
The exhibit includes more than 100 images of Langley innovations, including pilots testing experimental planes, engineers operating wind tunnels, and astronauts preparing to take the first steps on the moon.
The exhibit opened Oct. 7 and will be on view through March 11, 2018. As part of the exhibit, an “Out of this World Family Day” will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 with activities, crafts, story time and an appearance by retired NASA astronaut Cady Coleman and her husband, glass artist Josh Simpson.
