Solar-bration! Solar Eclipse
April 8, 2024 | 10 a.m.
The Discovery Center will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for this special Monday event. Enjoy astronomy themed activities inside the building at our celebration of the Solar Eclipse. Join us from 12:30-3:30 p.m. as we view the 85% solar eclipse from Blue Earth Plaza. Jan Johnson, Library Services Consultant from North Central Kansas Library System (NCKLS) will provide the opportunity to view the eclipse with a Sun Spotter donated by SEAL (Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries). There is no cost to view the solar eclipse; inside activities are included with admission to the Discovery Center.
