NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold shared this photograph of the Everglades taken from his vantage point in low Earth orbit aboard the International Space Station. Arnold commented, “‘…The grass and water that is the meaning and the central fact of the Everglades. It is a river of grass.’ – Marjory Stoneman Douglas. The flow and human interruption of this river is clearly visible from space.”
