Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) is roughly 44 million miles away from Earth in this photo from the International Space Station as it orbited over 250 miles above the South Atlantic Ocean. Space station’s view allows a unique perspective unobstructed by the Earth’s atmosphere. Astronauts can capture clear images that provide scientists with more information about comets and other celestial events.
