iss070e102490 (Feb. 27, 2024) JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) is testing whether this free-flying robotic camera, known as the JEM Internal Ball Camera 2, can autonomously maneuver and navigate aboard the space station to gather video and imagery. Having a robot perform these tasks could free up crew time for other activities, including conducting scientific research.
