Extracting Shape Memory Alloy Wire

Bethe Newgent, a student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, is extracting a shape memory alloy wire from a training rig after it was subjected to a heat cycle. She is part of a team of students selected in 2020 to participate in NASA’s University Student Research Challenge.
