SAMPEX measured the elemental and isotropic composition of solar energetic particles, anomalous cosmic rays, and galactic cosmic rays. Designed as a low cost mission with a duration of three years, SAMPEX far exceeded expectations by functioning until 2012, a total of twenty years.
Mission Duration: July 1992 – November 2012Operating Network: Near Earth Network*
