NASA’s Danette Allen speaks to attendees of the Science & Technology Partnership Forum’s trusted autonomy technology interchange meeting — TIM — about on-orbit servicing, assembly and manufacturing. Trusted autonomy refers to self-sustaining and reliable technologies that are certified for mission use. In the future, these autonomous technologies will be reliable enough to perform mission tasks, run spacecraft systems and make changes to operations without input from humans or computers. The interagency S&T Partnership Forum held the event at NASA Headquarters in Washington, Oct. 8-9.
