WRX was the first mission to use a newly developed NASA water recovery system for astronomical payloads. The 1,444-pound payload was carried to an altitude of 127 miles. Data was received during the mission and is now being analyzed by the science team. Meanwhile, the WRX team from Penn State is all smiles following the successful launch. Next up from Kwaj is the Colorado High-resolution Echelle Stellar Spectrograph, or CHESS 4, on April 13.
