“I like to say that this work is challenging, but the people can be challenging too sometimes. And I mean that in a light-hearted way. But you really do get to know each other well working out here [at Stennis Space Center].

“I mean, with the kinds of things we work with, it can be stressful. Whether it’s because of our schedule or because of the hardware safety — I mean, we’re working with these million-dollar engines, so it can be challenging. But I think through that, we do get to know each other. We get to see the good side and the bad side of each other.
