BRRISON Flight Readiness Review
At the Flight Readiness Review today for the Balloon Rapid Response for ISON (BRRISON) mission from Ft. Sumner, N.M., it was announced that the launch team is now looking at a possible flight the evening of Saturday, September 28.

The Balloon Rapid Response for ISON (BRRISON) payload undergoes flight test preparations with the “Big Bill” balloon launch vehicle in the foreground. At the Flight Readiness Review today for the BRRISON mission from Ft. Sumner, N.M., it was announced that the launch team is now looking at a possible flight the evening of Saturday, September 28. A final decision will be made at the 2 p.m. MDT weather briefing today. The BRRISON team from the Applied Physics Lab at John Hopkins University reported that the payload is in good condition and they believe they can support a Saturday flight. In addition, the launch team from the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility and the management team with the Scientific Balloon Program Office at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility reported that they are ready to support the mission.
