“The International Space Station is just a wonderful example of what humanity can accomplish when we focus our energies on working together, while celebrating our differences.
“It’s a really special place. It shows us what we can do and how we can do it. The evolution of it was rather slow. But people persisted, despite the setbacks and the uncertainties and the changes. People persisted because they had this vision. And here we are twenty years later, and now we have a whole generation of kids that have never known a day humans haven’t been living and working in space and working together as a global community.
“I think it’s a wonderful anniversary to celebrate.”
