The Space Launch System, or SLS, will be designed to carry the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, as well as important cargo, equipment and science experiments.

SLS is designed to carry the Orion spacecraft, astronauts as well as important cargo, equipment and science experiments to the Moon, Mars and other destinations. This concept depicts the SLS Block 1 crew configuration that will be used on the Artemis missions to the Moon.
