An essay, Weathering the Recovery of Apollo 11, on the use of satellite imagery to predict the weather at the Apollo 11 splashdown site, has been donated by Sean Potter of the NASA Office of Communications.

Over the past 18 months, the Apollo 11 Flight Journal has received an upgrade to improve its accuracy and the amount of supporting media that goes with it.

Thanks to George Vila for pointing out two errors. In the Launch chapter, the audio file for the PAO announcement at T minus 1 hour, 11 minutes, 55 seconds was wrong. The correct audio will now be available at that link. The chapter, Day 2: Laser Experiment, had an incorrect chapter heading. It said 'part 4' when it ought to have been 'part 3'.

Andy Chaikin and Paul Fjeld spotted a misattribution at 056:35:39. The second part of the speech there is from Neil. (056:35:45)
2013-08-13
Journal reader Dan Madsen pointed out a probable change in attribution in the Launch chapter at 000:03:28 (from Collins to Armstrong) and 000:05:35 (from Armstrong to Collins).
