Resources 

The Library collects materials in a wide variety of formats and on a wide variety or subjects, though our focus is on space policy, business & management, and science & technology. Circulation 

The Library lends books, documents, videos, and audio recordings to registered library patrons and to other libraries through interlibrary loan. Please see our Become a Patron page and our Get Books page for a description of borrowing policies and procedures.

Interlibrary Loan

The Library can borrow books, documents, videos, and audio recordings from libraries throughout the United States for registered library patrons. We also lend materials to researchers through other libraries. See our interlibrary loan policies on the Get Books page.

Document Delivery

The Library can purchase documents from document delivery vendors, retrieve documents from our print and online resources, and borrow documents through interlibrary loan. See the Documents section of the Get Books page for details.

Current Awareness

The Library offers weekly alert services on select topics, research updates, and a new books announcement service.

Reference & Research

The Library offers full service reference and research for NASA Headquarters employees and limited services for the public.

Demonstrations

Our reference librarians provide tours of the library and demonstrations of the library’s resources.

Quiet Study

The Library has study carrels and computers, in a quiet and comfortable environment. Use it for research or to get out of your office and get some work done without distractions. The library has Wi-Fi access for guests and NASA Headquarters employees.

Events

The Library is a convenient area for meeting with visitors to NASA Headquarters, offering a pleasant environment and streamlined security check-in. We have comfortable furniture and relatively private areas for small meetings. In addition, the Library is occasionally available for special events. Contact the Library for details.

Consultation

Library staff are available for consultation to NASA Headquarters employees on the organization & availability of information, conducting research, evaluating databases, and establishing resource centers or reference collections. Contact the Library for details.
