Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4)

No Earlier Than Spring 2025

The International Space Station is pictured from the SpaceX Dragon crew spacecraft by a SpaceX Crew-8 member shortly after undocking from the Harmony module's space-facing port. The orbital outpost was soaring 272 miles above the cloudy Patagonia region of South America at the time of this photograph.

The Axiom Mission 4 crew will launch aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft and travel to the International Space Station. Once docked, the private astronauts plan to spend up to 14 days aboard the orbiting laboratory, conducting a mission comprised of science, outreach, and commercial activities.

Peggy Whitson, former NASA astronaut and director of human spaceflight at Axiom Space, will command the commercial mission, while Indian Space Research Organization astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla will serve as pilot. The two mission specialists are European Space Agency project astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski of Poland and Tibor Kapu of Hungary.
