NASA Ames convenient location makes it easy to get here from anywhere in the surrounding area. The destination is directly accessible via Hwy 101. Additionally, there are three major International airports within 40 miles. 

From San Jose (SJC) Airport  (11 miles) 

Get on US-101 N from Airport Blvd, Airport Pkwy and Matrix Blvd/Technology Pl 

Follow US-101 N to Moffett Blvd in Mountain View.  

Take exit 398 from US-101 N 

From San Francisco (SFO) Airport (23 miles) 

Get on US-101 S in Millbrae from Airport Access Rd 

Follow US-101 S to Moffett Blvd in Mountain View.

Visit Yosemite National Park: https://www.nps.gov/yose/index.htm While this destination is a bit farther from the bay area, several guided day trips depart from San Francisco, including Extranomincal Tours, Gray Line Tours, Incredible Adventures and Skyline Sightseeing Tours. Day use reservations are required so please check with your tour guide to see if you will need to request this on the park website for day trips scheduled through organized tour companies.
