The European Space Agency’s (ESA) first mission to Venus, Venus Express studied Venus’ atmosphere and plasma environment and created meteorological maps. One of Venus Express’s most significant discoveries was evidence that Venus had been volcanically active in the last three million years, suggesting that there may still be geologic activity.
