Join NASA and the Quesst mission for the unveiling of the X-59, the supersonic research aircraft built by Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works.
The X-59 will help NASA study sound and help reduce the sonic boom made by supersonic flight to a sonic thump. Because of the loud interrupting sound, supersonic flight has been banned over land since 1973. This is an important historical milestone for the future of aviation, so don’t miss out and sign up today at aeroSTEM@nasa.onmicrosoft.com to let us know you want to host a watch party in your area. We look forward to hearing from you!
Sign Up to WatchLive from NASA
The ceremony and rollout of the aircraft will stream live on the NASA+ streaming service beginning at 4 p.m. ET on Jan. 12, 2024. Coverage also will air on NASA Television, the NASA app, YouTube, and on the agency’s website.
