Contractor Property Reporting Information
The Office of the Chief Financial Officer would like to provide the following resources to Contractors to aid them in the NASA Contractor Property Reporting process:
The FY 2003 NF1018 Reporting: Questions and Answers (pdf) provides contractors with additional property reporting guidance in a question and answer (Q&A) format. The questions focus on fiscal year 2003 changes to the NF 1018 as well as address other property reporting questions and issues from previous years which continue to be of concern to contractors. The NF 1018 Electronic Submission System (NESS) also referred to as the NASA Industrial Property Management System is an automated system designed to assist in the collection, maintenance, analysis, and distribution of NASA’s industrial property information.

NASA Property in the Custody of Contractors (NF1018) Training (pdf)
In an effort to improve the financial accounting of NASA’s Contractor-held property and to simplify individual workloads, NASA is offering a training course to contractors and civil servants in its property and financial management communities. The objective of the course is to provide participants an enhanced understanding of the process and rules for completing the NASA Form (NF) 1018, both manually and using the NF 1018 Electronic Submission System (NESS). The NASA FAR Supplement Final Rule (pdf) amends the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) to comply with existing Federal accounting standards and OMB rules on Form and Content of agency financial statements and makes other changes to NASA’s property reporting requirements.
