JSC2013-E-094898 (20 Nov. 2013) — Seen in the lower right corner of this wide shot, flight director Dina Contella sits at the FD console in the Johnson Space Center’s space station flight control room (FCR-1) as the Expedition 38 crew, the space community and the rest of world are set to observe the 15th Anniversary of the International Space Station. Contella paid tribute to the anniversary at the exact moment of launch 15 years ago. On Nov. 20, 1998, a Russian Proton rocket launched the Zarya module, the first piece of the orbital outpost.
