Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing
April 8 – 9, 2024 | 1 p.m.
Come join us at the Kitt Peak Visitor Center on April 8th, from 9 am to 1 pm, to view the partial solar eclipse! At this walk-around style event, you can arrive at the Visitor Center anytime between 9am and 1 pm to join us in telescope viewing, using special eclipse glasses, and more! A light meal is included for anyone attending. Be among dozens of research-grade telescopes at the largest observatory in the country during one of the largest astronomical events of the decade! While we will not be seeing the totality of the eclipse, we are still seeing 75% of the sun’s diameter covered by the moon. We recommend arriving at 10 am for the best eclipse views! One set of eclipse glasses is included in the ticket price per person.
