Research Capabilities of the Aviation Systems Division

The Aviation Systems Division has developed several high-fidelity simulation and software capabilities to support a wide range of research, with emphasis on novel air traffic management concepts, aerospace vehicles, aerospace systems and operations, human factors, accident investigations, and studies aimed at improving aviation safety. The Division supports many NASA programs and collaborates with other government agencies, industry partners, and academia to meet the needs of the Nation’s present and future aerospace research, development, and testing needs.
