Rami Intriago
NASA Resident Manager for Starliner Factory, Commercial Crew Program, Commercial Space Division
Since the inception of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program in 2011, Rami Intriago has played a vital role in ensuring mission completion and setting the precedent for future collaborations between NASA and commercial partners in space exploration.
“It’s exciting to know that what we helped initiate within NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, utilizing the innovation and expertise of the agency and its commercial partners to transport NASA astronauts to and from the International Space Station, is now a model that other agency spaceflight programs can emulate when collaborating with commercial industry to achieve a common goal of furthering human spaceflight exploration for the betterment of humankind,” said Intriago.
With almost 36 years of human spaceflight experience, Intriago currently serves as the NASA resident manager for the agency’s Commercial Crew Program in Boeing’s Commercial Crew and Cargo Facility, overseeing the integration and certification of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, which launched on June 5, 2024, carrying NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams. As part of his role, Intriago was the “eyes and ears” of the program during the assembly, integration, and testing of the Starliner spacecraft, ensuring NASA engineers and stakeholders received the insight needed to certify Starliner.
The best part of my job at NASA is the people I'm blessed to work with. I love meeting people and establishing a genuine relationship built on trust to accomplish the common goal of ensuring we deliver safe and reliable transportation systems to and from the International Space Station.
