Hi-C Flare and FOXSI Launched Successfully

On 4/17/24, HI-C Flare and FOXSI launched 1 minute apart into an extended M-flare from Poker Flat, Alaska. Scientist report that the data they saw from the control room looked amazing and we will hear more about the data as its analyzed in the coming weeks. The payload was buried in snow, but was retrieved and left on a dry ledge overnight with the rigging. It was eventually retrieved via helicopter. This launch proved that we could use the sounding rocket platform to develop instrumentation to observe solar flairs.
