SERVIR Science Coordination Office (SCO) Supports NASA Outreach Activities at Solar Eclipse Event

SERVIR SCO team members Tony Kim and Paula Link (ST11) joined others from NASA’s MSFC travelling to Russellville, Arkansas, to provide education and outreach in connection with the April 8th solar eclipse. They shared information regarding the amazing work SERVIR is doing within the NASA family with visitors from all over the world as well as dignitaries in the community. Sharing her reflection on this event, Paula said; “Being on Good Morning America, interviewed for KATV Channel 7 news, hot air balloon ride, visit with an astronaut and a total solar eclipse are all events of a lifetime! I am not sure there is much that can top this day.” Along with the MSFC team, experts from NASA’s Stennis Space Center, Kennedy Space Center, and NASA Headquarters, and representatives of the Arkansas Air National Guard and the Paris Observatory in Muedon, France, supported this event. More than 100,000 people travelled to Russellville to view the eclipse.
