NASA STEM Career Exploration Events at Glenn

The Office of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Engagement has a strong interest in contributing to the future STEM workforce and supporting students pursuing STEM careers.  These events hosted by NASA Glenn that are designed to inspire student interest in STEM fields. The events feature professionals working in STEM fields at NASA Glenn, engaging STEM activities, and tours of NASA Glenn’s facilities.

Scope

Virtual events are typically one to two hours in length and typically include:

  • A presentation from one or more NASA STEM professionals on a virtual meeting platform
  • A question-and-question and answer session with the STEM professional(s)
  • A virtual tour of a NASA Glenn facility
  • A STEM activity that participants will do live during the event

In-person events are generally three to four hours in length and typically include:

  • Interaction with NASA STEM professionals
  • Guided tours of Glenn research facilities
  • One or more hands-on STEM activities

Eligibility/Requirements

One-day STEM events are typically open to:

  • Students, teachers and/or parents and guardians that are United States citizens
  • Schools or other youth-serving organizations from NASA Glenn’s home state of Ohio
  • Specific eligibility is dependent on the target audience of each event

Upcoming Events

Registrations typically open two months prior to an event date and close one month prior to event date.
