Deep Space Atomic Clock Payload

Tom Cwik, the head of JPL’s Space Technology Program (left) and Allen Farrington, JPL Deep Space Atomic Clock Project Manager, view the integrated Atomic Clock Payload on General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems Orbital Test Bed Spacecraft. The Atomic Clock, GPS Receiver, and Ultra-Stable Oscillator which make up the Deep Space Atomic Clock Payload. This payload is scheduled to launch in 2018 aboard the U.S. Air Force Space Technology Program (STP-2) mission.
