Students design and build a multistage balloon-powered rocket to demonstrate how rockets can achieve greater distances using the technology of staging.
Students will:
- Apply the steps of the engineering design process to successfully complete a team challenge.
- Design and build a multistage rocket and successfully launch it across the classroom.
- Improve the rockets based upon the results of the experiment.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Newton’s laws of motion and their application in rocket launches.
